Hey friends, Welcome back to another issue. This week, I've been reflecting on focus, intentional growth, and the wild pace of AI infrastructure. Sometimes the most helpful insights don't come from chasing trends, but from zooming out, getting quiet, and picking your own path. Here's what stood out.
🧠 Idea That Stuck With Me
Lately I've been thinking about how we define success, especially in a time where we're flooded with metrics, dashboards, and hype cycles.
The best ideas don't always go viral. The most useful tools aren't always the flashiest. And often, the most resilient systems are the quietest ones.
That's why I'm more and more drawn to simple, focused work. Local-first tech. Low overhead. Creative constraints.
Not because it's trendy, but because it's sustainable.
📖 Book that I really wanted to share with you
Just wrapped up Company of One by Paul Jarvis, and it gave me exactly the clarity I didn't know I needed.
In a world obsessed with scaling, this book makes a strong case for staying intentionally small — focusing on freedom, sustainability, and purpose over growth for growth's sake.
Here's what it reminded me:
- 🔹 Success doesn't have to mean hiring fast and chasing VC money.
- 🔹 You can build something meaningful and profitable, without burning out.
- 🔹 The goal isn't always "more." Sometimes it's enough.

One line that stuck with me:
"Staying small doesn't mean aiming low. It means staying focused."
If you're building solo and questioning the constant pressure to scale, I can't recommend this book enough.
💬 Quick Thought
This week reminded me of something important: scale isn't the only goal.
There's deep power in clarity, in focus, in making something small but truly useful.
If you're in a season of questioning, that's not failure. That's design.
