Getting Unstuck & Actions Speak Louder

Read time – 5 minutes

Hey friends, Charles here again. Not many headline events this week, but if you're into fintech, there's one worth checking out, plus a couple of thoughts I've been sitting with lately that might just resonate.

🧠 Getting Unstuck

Getting Unstuck Strategies

When you find yourself stuck on a topic for too long, it's a common challenge we all face.

The feeling of being trapped in the same loop can be frustrating. Instead of pushing harder, consider switching gears. Here's what I've discovered works for me:

  • Step Away: Take a break, whether it's a walk, a shower, or a coffee break.
  • Talk It Out: Explain the problem to someone else, even if they're not familiar with the subject.
  • Visualize It: Try sketching out the issue in a different way, either visually, verbally, or through analogies.
  • Reframe the Question: Reflect on the core problem you're trying to solve.

Remember, feeling stuck doesn't equate to failure; it signifies you're on the brink of something significant. It's at this juncture that breakthroughs often occur.

πŸ›  What I Noticed This Week

If you're into fintech and dev tools, Fintech Devcon is happening August 4–6 in Denver. Not much else major on the event radar this week, so this one stands out if it aligns with your world.

πŸ’¬ Quick Thought

Actions Speak Louder Quote

We've all heard it before: "Actions speak louder than words."

But in today's fast-paced, hyper-communicative world, I've come to believe this more than ever.

You can say you care about customers, but showing up consistently, following through, and solving problems quietly? That's what builds trust.

You can say you support your team, but listening when it's inconvenient, stepping in without being asked, or giving credit where it's due? That's what earns respect.

Talk is everywhere. Execution? Much rarer.

In the long run, people remember what you did far more than what you said.
